Pre workout smoothie💜

This smoothie keeps me energised and full for a very long time so I’m not snacking after. Having all the nutrients you need to do a workout successfully is what’s exactly in this smoothie- or as I like to call it…vegan fro yo;)

Here is the list of ingredients I shoved into my nutri bullet;

  • 1/4 cup of flax seeds
  • 1 cup of mixed oats and granola
  • 300 ml of alpro soya milk -unsweetened. Use whichever milk you want to use
  • 1/2 cup of frozen blue berries
  • 1/2 cup of chopped strawberries
  • 1 table spoon of pure smooth protein peanut butter – I use Body Dynamix   You can eat it straight away or leave it in the freezer for 1 hour and eat it like a frozen yoghurt. This is what I did and it tastes just amazing !! The colour is so pretty also which I love about blending foods together you make a different colour every time ! My Top 10 Home Gym Must Haves!

  1. Ab wheel – incorporating an ab wheel in my workouts is the best decision I ever made when it comes to working out. They work you’re whole body the slower you go down , staying in control of each rep is so important when it comes to ab wheeling. Aim for 10-20 reps or as many as you feel comfortable with! I got mine from TKMAXX for £6!
  2.  Reebok Step – I love my little step I have at the end of my bed. It’s so simple to use and you can adjust the height for a deeper step or tricep dips I love using it to do calf raises also can tell you how much they’re handy but you can also do the alternative and use stairs or a park bench!
  3. Yoga mat – because no one likes the sound of a crunching spine on wood floor! Need I say more? They’re comfy and support your spine when doing sit-ups and floor work.
  4. Ankle Weights– I love mine they’re 3kg each and I put them both on one ankle to increase the intensity of my donkey kicks to get a deeper burn in my glutes. Wear them around the house and you will burn extra calories.
  5. Resistance bands– now I have a few of these all with different resistances. The hardest ones are grey and they are so good for when doing the “clam pose” which activates your glutes before you start your workout. Resistance bands are good for side step squats and just help you get a more deeper squat or standing kick back. GET THEM !! I got mine from LyzabethLopez.com
  6. Hand weights– I have a few sets of these but I need to get heavier for growing my shoulders and back. I have 2kg ones and 3kg ones which I use every day whether it’s on my power walks or in my bedroom doing bicep curls to front punches and lateral raises. I also have a set of 5kg which I use for the same purpose when I’m feeling less reps but better quality reps !
  7. Body blade– now this has been in my life for a few years now and my grandparents bought it me from  QVC which was £40 but works so simply and gets your heart racing. All you do is stand still and wiggle the blade in and out using up and down motions. It’s super body sculpting powers get you going for ages and it’s only when you stop you feel the pain ( good pain) more than you would just doing normal triceps or pressups. Highly R recommend this if you’re really into your fitness but not if you’re just starting out as it may be a dust gatherer and is pricey.
  8. Foam Roller – this is my most hated thing but I love it. It works to massage your muscles and destress you as you roll your muscles over the roller and the nodules sticking up dig into you muscles to give you a deep massage. Mine is bright pink and was £18 from Nike they hurt so much but you feel the good pain and your muscles feel relaxed the next day. Perfect for post and pre workout.
  9. Yoga ball – I love working out on my yoga ball I incorporate it in most of my workouts when I do Pilates. It’s a large object but adds enough weight to your body and it’s just a fun thing to workout with and they’re not dear one bit!
  10. My final must have workout equipment is my stationary bike which I use every single day I love a quick bike ride before I go to college or work , it starts my day and makes me filled with positivity for the rest of the day. They’re a little pricey (£200-£600) but get you in a full sweat before you’ve even left the house . Who says you need a gym to get your dream body. Perfect for toning you booty and perfecting your hamstrings and quadriceps.

All over body workout♡

This workout can be done on the go. In the toilets. At home. ANYWHERE!!

I’m always doing starjumps and squats when I’m in the bathroom whether I’m washing my hands or just escaping from college work for a few minutes.

You don’t have to do it all at once but you will feel the burn if you do! You can also complete it once in the morning once in the afternoon and once before bed – which I do , or just once in the morning and before you go to bed!

  • 50 star jumps
  • 20 sumo squats
  • 10 pressups
  • 30 lunges (15 each leg)
  • 20 tricep dips
  • 20 backward lunges (10 each leg)
  • 50 donkey kicks-standing or on all fours (25 each leg)
  • 30-40 second plank
  • 30 bicycle crunches
  • 20-30 squats
  • 20 flutter kicks
  • 10 squat jumps
  • 30 calf raises
  • 20 sit-ups
  • 40 bridges

Thoughts on being VEGAN!!🐓🐐🐮

I’ve been thinking about becoming vegan for a very long time and seeing how these poor animals are treated day in day out has made it even more clear to me that not enough action is in place to stop this slaughtering of the poor animals.

Everything has a reason to be on this earth. Why should animals be on this earth just to be a nice mouthful of foot which may satisfy our gut.

Being a vegan is a new trial for me this is now my third week and it’s been hard for sure but you just have to create new recipes to makesure you don’t get bored of eating the same old foods. I’ve found that so many tricks in the shops when looking for vegan or animal cruelty friendly foods and products I use daily. It’s crazy how much you can crave a food but then as soon as you’re told you’re not allowed it how you just forget about the taste and flavour and you’re able to try foods you wouldn’t necessarily have .

I’ve never really been a meat lover as I only ever eat white meat and fish. This has been so beneficial for me as I’ve already seen changed to my health, skin and outlook on the world. I think twice when cooking meat for my family or when I see it on the shelves and I’m thinking about the brutal pain that animal must have gone through to be in a tight vacuumed packet.

Its not just about being healthy from writhin it’s about spreading the love for your body onto the world and visa versa as I never used to think about the animals I was killing I used to just eat it with my rice and vegetable and go workout. Now it’s only early days but I feel like I’ve changed so much since beginning this process and I’ve found more love myself and that it’s not the end of the world if I can’t have pepperoni pizza for a cheat meal or a chicken Pitta (homemade) you just have to find the balance and eat the foods that will give you twice as much energy and didn’t die just to become a fur coat, mac makeup or be put on our plate. If you’re thinking about becoming vegan I urge you to try it and then see for yourself, I’m going vegan for the whole of lent which is 40 days and 40 nights and then by end of it want I will carry it on or stop and be vegetarian, try that out as I do miss scrambled egg whites and a little froyo here and there but for now I’m best without !!

I love juicing it is literally a hobby now! Having a juice a day for my lunch where I can throw anything in and it blends up to make a wonderful creation!

You can use whichever fruit or vegetable you like, even those you dislike because it all gets blended up anyway and the taste is masked by the rest of the ingredients. Let me know what your favourite juices are and I’ll be sure to try them out! Who even eats now ? It’s all about juicing to get those all important vitamins and minerals inside our bodies to give us some goodness so that we can be fit and healthy and work to like longer.

This is my first log of being vegan I know I’ll be able to keep it up with the motivation and will power of others through reading people’s vegan lifestyle blogs. 40 days of Veganism will cleanse my body and hopefully help me drop the unwanted weight to help me look more defined and toned. FRIDAY AT LAST, SOMETHING TO FEED THAT SWEET TOOTH!!

imageTonights treat : white chocolate Blondie’s w strawberries
•200g white chocolate chips (melt 100g and add the other 100g to the mixture)
•1 egg
•12oz skimmed milk or whatever milk you want •1tbsp vanilla extract
•1tsp Himalayan pink salt
•1/2 cup of unsweetened butter
(Approx 150 calories in each slice) 👅I honestly couldn’t finish it but they were so delicious and I recommend this recipe if you’re a white chocolate lover !!! #feeddabooty #cheatmeal #treatmeals #chocolate #sweettooth 🍓❤️🍓

Avocado, Salad & Goats Cheese Sandwich

This QUICK,EASY & DELICIOUS sandwich will feed your soul with goodness and satisfy your hunger. Follow these few steps and leave me comment if you try it out ! Xo

• 2 slices of whole meal bread

• 4 oz goats cheese

• hand full of lettuce

•handful of spinach

•2 chopped tomatoes

•sprinkle of pomegranate seeds

•carrot shavings

•some red onion ,sliced

•1/4  red pepper

•1/2 an avocado

•sprinkle of black pepper

METHOD:

mash half the avocado on one slice of bread and sprinkle with pepper.

next on the other slice of bread, layer some goats cheese, tomato,spinach,lettuce,cucumber,red onion and red pepper then repeat and sprinkle the pomegranate on top.

you can put the avocado slice I top of the other slice to make a sandwich or eat them separatly
